Back in 2013, DC Entertainment declared July 23 to be Batman Day, in honor of the 75th anniversary of the character’s first appearance in Detective Comics #27. But Batman is nothing if not mysterious, as is DC’s reason for switching it to September 15 this year. In any case, if you stop by your favorite physical or electronic comic shop today, you might find a little something to add to your Bat-collection.
