There’s a real melted cheese theme going on this week, and that’s fine by me. My wife jokes that I seem to find a way to work a melted cheese course into every meal. (Totally untrue. A third of my meals at most.) In any case, today’s National Cheese Fondue Day. If there’s no fondue restaurant nearby, you can pick up a fondue pot at your local thrift store and whip up your own fondue. There are countless fondue recipes, but the traditional Swiss method involves garlic, multiple types of cheese, some white wine, and a splash of kirschwasser (cherry brandy).
