A martini

World Gin Day is so 10 days ago. We’re beyond that now, ready to combine our gin with other substances to make it into entirely new beverages. Well, one particular beverage: a martini, which is traditionally gin and vermouth. There are those, of course, who feel that pretty much any cocktail served in a conical glass can be called a “martini,” even if it’s made with vodka, or omits the vermouth. There are also people who will argue with you as to whether a martini should be shaken or stirred. Pay no attention to such pedants. They’ve clearly just had too much to drink. Happy National Martini Day!
